Kathmandu, Aug. 31.
Electricity service has been restored in various areas of Rasuwa, where power supply was disrupted due to floods in the Bhotekoshi River.
According to Nepal Electricity Authority, power supply has been restored in most areas of Kalika and Naukunda rural municipalities of the district.
Similarly, power has been restored in Dhunche, Bharkhu and Gosainkunda areas of Gosainkunda Rural Municipality.
The floods damaged electricity infrastructure at several locations, disrupting power supply in the district. Following the damage, NEA technical teams intensified repair and rehabilitation works despite adverse weather conditions and difficult geographical terrain.
With the restoration of power supply in the affected areas after the continuous efforts of the technical team, the daily life of the local residents is gradually returning to normal.
The Authority said that it is continuing its work by mobilising the necessary manpower, equipment and resources to regularise power service in the remaining affected areas as well.
