Kathmandu, Aug 26:
The Nepali Army has deployed teams for search and rescue in the wake of the damage in Timure and Syanphrubesi of Rasuwa due to a massive flash flood in Rasuwa this morning.
Two choppers of the NA have flown to Trishuli for search and rescue of those affected by the flood.
The NA’s emergency medical team has also been sent to Trishuli district hospital by the NA’s MI-17 helicopter for assisting the district hospital. According to the NA, rescue team from Dhunche and Trishuli has been deployed in the affected area.
Skilled human resource for disaster management from Gajuri-based Brigade 6 headquarters of the NA. Details of the damage due to the flashflood are being gathered.
The NA has urged people at the Trishuli and the Narayani River bank to stay alert and take precaution as the flood could put them at risk.
Meanwhile, the vehicles heading to four district have been halted in Kathmandu following a massive flood in Rasuwa this morning.
According to Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson and superintendent of police of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, vehicles heading to Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Chitwan and Dhading or going through these districts have been stopped in Kathmandu for safety.
